In the company of Chloé, who is still mourning Garrel, Commandant Rocher recovers from a gunshot at home, when the television informs about Adele's story, her sister, Camille, and the clues to arrest Argos. As Lydia Bazin, in jail for 15 years for children prostitution, appears as a new lead in the investigation, Adele joins forces with Rocher's team in the search of her sister. While Jessica Kancel informs Hyppolite she joins the police as Adjointe administrative, Elikia Masamba, a leading psychotrauma specialist, arrives to the station claiming he is Chloé's husband.

After the intervention at Argos' house, the police fence closes around him. Dr. Masamba, a prominent psychotrauma specialist, will deal with Camille. While Hyppolite and Emma investigate the house, a car attacks them and the team fears that Argos has started his revenge, so a special team is assigned to protect Adele and Camille. Chloé starts to consider Elikia's offer.

Commandant Rocher is summoned to college following a fight involving his son Lucas, who was defending Eliott Baroin, one of his schoolmates, from a bully. An alarm goes off in the school when Eliott attempts suicide, but Rocher manages in extremis to prevent him from jumping from the roof of the college and brings him home to discover that his mother, Carine Baroin, 46, has been dead at his home for ten days. Eliott is the main suspect.

While Commandant Rocher is searching for a runaway Lucas, the BR is required for the death of Gisèle Desmoulins, 81, hit by a car, poisoned and stabbed three times while she was leaving home. Emma and Adèle search the victim's house and discover several telescopes aimed at neighbouring houses as well as carbon copies of letters. Apparently the victim had been sending anonymous denunciations to her neighbourhood for decades. Intrigued by a particular letter denouncing "the worst of monsters", Adèle and Rocher go to the recipient's house and find in a fridge a frozen baby. The suspects in this case can be hundreds. Adèle continues visiting Camille at hospital, still in a coma.

Camille is behaving oddly at home with Jess, Ulysse and Caillou, the dog, but also with the team, puzzled by her suggestions and reactions. She is also trying to destroy Adèle's life and reputation, while Adèle, locked in UMD (Unité pour Malades Difficiles) in her place, is not able to prove she is the victim of a plot. The team investigates the murder of Lionel Dugain, 28, Maths professor, by a shotgun. Dugain had encouraged Agathe's parents to settle in Yonne. Rocher, worried for Lucas is having nightmares more frequently, learns that the place, where his son had spent a week with Agathe's family, is a refuge for problem children.

Leaving alone Commandant Rocher while they were searching for Charlotte Sorman, Camille tries to escape with Ulysse. After helping her, the nurse in the UMD understands the situation and sets Adèle free. She will take over the elements of the case of La Boliére and try to repair the damages that Camille has made in the investigation. She soon understands there is something wrong with the educational centre. Rocher and Adèle hurry to save the remaining children but also Emma, who is torn apart after the argument with Hippolyte and is too fragile now.
