Abandoned Urbex Canada

Unbelievable ABANDONED Mansion found in the woods. Explore #90
This abandoned Tudor style mansion sits on a very secluded property in northern Ontario, Canada. To my knowledge it was a custom home that was built in the 1980's. The property is just stunning. Wildlife call this property their home. From deer, ducks to wild turkeys they are everywhere here. There is rolling hills, large pond and beautiful in ground pool. The house is massive, it has 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and 3 kitchens. I couldn't believe how much stuff was left behind here. Pretty much every room has personal items left behind. This property sits on a few acres and was bought up a few years ago by a developer. It hasn't been abandoned for very long. From watching the video I found out that there is a large amount of empty water jugs throughout the house. I'm not sure if the water was shut off before the previous owners left or if squatters moved into the house once it was abandoned.

Large Abandoned Retro House Stuck in the 70's. Explore #91
I noticed this abandoned house a couple of years ago while out looking around for abandoned places. This place has been abandoned for about 4 years now. To be honest I didn't really think it would be to interesting inside. Oh was I wrong. I noticed @Ethan Minnie explored this house so I had to return and check it out. This house was stuck in the 70's. The flooring, light fixtures, switch plates, stairs, bathrooms and kitchen looks original from when the house was first built. It even had a sauna in the basement. There was also a lot of stuff left behind here and as most of you know this is such a bonus for me when exploring. When items are left behind it kind of tells me what kind of people lived in the house before it was abandoned. A developer bought up a few properties in this area and will be building over 50 Townhouses.

A look inside this Abandoned and forgotten house built in the 70's. Explore #92
This large rustic style abandoned house was built in the 1970's. This house looked fantastic from the outside. It sits on a few acres of land that will be developed at some point for new houses. The house has been abandoned for approx. 4 years. Looking at the interior of the home it had a lot of rustic charm to it. I loved all the wood throughout the house. Most of the house is original and looked like it was in pretty good shape for being abandoned for this long. Only minor vandalism was seen here. Hope you enjoy the video.

A shocking look inside an ABANDONED time capsule house frozen in time! Explore #93
This time capsule house has been abandoned for approx. 10-12 years. It is completely frozen in time with everything left behind. It looks like the gentlemen that used to live here was hardworking really enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. For years the property tax has not been paid to the city. At some point the house will be sold off by public tender (public bid) starting at $25,000. The was also some cool barn finds here. The vintage Honda Goldwing Motorcycle and all the bones found in the bottom part of the barn. I believe the previous owner ether passed away or went into a home never to return again. Sadly the house is quickly rotting away and will likely collapse or be demolished in the future.

Abandoned 1940's Caboose Found Deep In The Woods. It's been here for over 30 years! Explore #94
What an amazing find. Deep in the woods this 1940's CP Rail Caboose sits abandoned and is in great shape for its age. The owner of this large wooded property passed away in 2004. There are reports his ashes are scattered on the property as this was his favourite place to be. He really enjoyed his caboose and property. The caboose was a birthday gift from his children at a cost of $20,000. They had the tracks installed and they hired 2 large cranes to pick up the caboose and set it in its place in the 1980's. They must have cleared trees to get the caboose in this spot. It's even on a hill so it's just amazing on how they got it here. Now over 30 years later the forest has grown over and it's very hidden in the woods. Removing this caboose would be costly and a lot of trees would have to be clear out and a roadway would need to be built.

4 ABANDONED Beach Houses Found On The Ocean. They were forced to leave!
This is a very beautiful area of B.C. Canada. The abandoned houses sit right on the ocean and beach offering an amazing view. Speaking to a local resident I was informed there used to be a bunch of beach houses in this area. This property right on the ocean is on native land. The residents of all the houses owned the homes but not the land (Land Lease) They leased the land for 100 years. But after approx. 50 years they were all issued notices to leave the property breaking the lease agreement. The owners of the houses could not sell them and just walked away and abandoned them. They demolished them all except the 4 I found. For some reason they didn't demolished these ones and they have been abandoned for Approx. 10 years. At first I thought there was only 3 but once I finished the video and left I found another abandoned house completely swallowed up by nature. The driveways and trails to the houses are completely over grown. The only access to the homes now is by the beach.

Abandoned! a Devastating Look Inside a Famous Movie Directors 1920's Mansion. Explore #98
This abandoned mansion was built in 1926. It sits on 32 acres with 2500 feet of water frontage. The house is 4500 sf. It has a servants quarters with stairs. It also has an elevator. The mansion was rented out from 1995 to 1998. It was then sold in 1998 to John Lee Thompson and his wife Penny. John Thompson was a famous movie director that has won numerous awards and nominations. Some of the award winning movies included Cape Fear, Planet of the Apes, Woman in a Dressing Gown, Fire Walker, The Passage and many more. Director John Lee Thompson sadly passed away in 2002 at the age of 88. He left behind his wife and 2 children. The Thompson family later sold the property in 2008 to an unknown off shore buyer and the mansion has been abandoned and forgotten since. The mansion was originally listed for sale for the price of 14.5 million dollars and now it has been lowered to 10 million dollars. It is one of the oldest homes in the area. Most people think the house is historic but it has not been designated a historic home so it is not protected and could be demolished. I believe the house is not repairable as the mansion is extremely vandalized. It will likely be demolished in the future.

Mysterious Abandoned Farmhouse In The Middle Of Nowhere With Everything Left Behind. Explore #99
Incredible location. I pretty much consider this a time capsule house. This property is very large. Classic cars and old farm equipment are spread out across the property slowly rotting away. This was once a working farm with a standing barn but has now collapsed. The house was left with everything left behind. Over the years people have ransacked the abandoned house looking for valuable treasures. With the information found in the house I believe it was build in the early 1920's. It has been abandoned for at least 12 years. Looking up the names found in the house it is a mystery who they were, when and why they left. I'm thinking they have passed away years ago with no family to clean out the house and property.

Abandoned Crime Scene Mansion and Equestrian Centre. Shooting and explosion here! Explore # 102
This abandoned and mansion and equestrian centre sits on over 100 acres of property. To my surprise this house has an indoor pool and was a lot bigger then it looks from the front. I believe the equestrian centre has been in operation for over 40 years and has been abandoned for only a few years but the house has been abandoned for much longer. I noticed yellow police tape and AR-15 blank ammunition casing throughout the house. There was also an explosion in the stable building blowing out part of the staff room wall. It looks like the police has used this place for police shooting and training. This property will soon be cleared out for new industrial buildings.

Abandoned Sharp Shooters Retro Mansion Found In The Woods. Explore # 104
This large property has been bought up by a developer and they will build a condos and demolish all current structures on the property. The mansion was built in the 1970's and has only been abandoned for approx 1 year. Some developers will demolish buildings pretty quickly and I have seen them take over 20 years to demolish a building. This mansion is clearly stuck in the 70's with little updates over the years. This house was very nice in its day but I believe once there was plans in place to build the new condo and demolish the house the maintenance on the property and house had declined over the years. Seeing items and awards in the mansion the previous owner was a very skilled sharp shooter and won numerous awards all over the world. There was also ammo making tools and bullets left behind.

The Incredible Abandoned Gold Mine On The Mountain Side. Explore # 106
Getting here was extremely challenging. After 4x4ing to our parking spot we hiked up the mountain for about 1 hour. Once at the entrance of Mascot Mine we had to now walk down hundreds of stairs. The Mascot Gold Mine was in operation from 1936 to 1949. 7.1 tones of gold was extracted from the mascot mine. That is over 400 million dollars in today's market. 130 men worked the Mascot Gold Mine. Each man made approx $4.75 per day. Many of the men actually lived and passed away at the mine site. After shutting down in 1949 the site was abandoned for many years after. In the 1990s, the insurers for the mascot mine property was concerned that visitors to the site could lodge liability claims for personal injuries. They wanted the mascot mine to be burnt down. This plan did not go through thankfully. In 1995 the Upper Similkameen Indian band re-roofed several buildings to help preserve them. The province then bought the mine site for $740,000. They also fixed and stabilized the structures over the following years. In 2003 the province provided $300,000 to retrofit the site for tourism. The wooden structures included former dormitories, a cookhouse and machine sheds. In 2004 the mascot mine site opened for tours. It later closed for tours in 2017. The buildings clearly needed more repairs and attention for the structures to last. In 2021 The province gave a grant of $800,000 and they plan to reopen for tours in 2023 after many repairs and upgrades have been completed.

Strange Abandoned Satellite Dish Found On A Mountain. Explore # 107
Doing some digging online I came across this top secret abandoned satellite dish. I finally found the location using Google Earth. Google Earth is not always accurate as it can be outdated so I wasn't sure 100% it would be here. After driving through the mountains I came across a dead end road. Once I parked my vehicle I made my way up the mountain. This is an 100 foot in diameter Teleglobe satellite dish. It transmits telephone, telex, cable television, and data transmissions to 10 Pacific Rim countries, including Korea, Japan, China, and the Philippines. It was built in the 1970's and has been abandoned and has not been in operation for years.

Massive Abandoned 1950's Paper Mill Found In The Middle Of Nowhere. Explore # 110
This was the first time filming in the United States. I don't normally explore and film abandoned industrial buildings. So I was pretty excited to see this massive abandoned place. This place was in the middle of nowhere. This was such a fun explore for me. This building was built in 1956 and operated as Elk Roofing. It was a very successful company until the owner passed away in 1972. The family sold the business. In 1985 the current owners shut down the business and left it abandoned until 1991 when Striker Paper Company bought the building. They renovated the building and operated it until approx. 1999. The building has been abandoned since. Hope you enjoy the video.

The Devastating Story of the Abandoned Subdivision (14 Luxury Homes) Explore # 111
The Devastating Story Of The Abandoned Subdivision (14 Luxury Homes) Explore # 111 B.C. Canada Seawatch Subdivision In 2006 the trees were removed and the site was cleared. At this time the construction began. In 2012 a sinkhole emerged in the middle of the road and the district of Sechelt repaired the damage. Over the next few years more sink holes appeared. A report was received in 2015 and the estimated cost to fix the site would cost around 10 million dollars. But there would be no guarantees that this work would resolve the sinkhole issues of erosion due to groundwater seepage. On Christmas Day in 2018 a very large sink hole appeared measuring 82' deep It took 40 dump trucks to fill the sinkhole, according to the District. In Feb 2019 the district of Sechelt announced a state of emergency and ordered all residents to leave. The districts state of emergency is valid for 7 days. The district of sechelt renewed the state of emergency more than 150 times after that, and several times after a B.C. Supreme Court judge ruled that continued state of emergency renewals were unlawful. News video credit: L4L Bill Santos TV Show (CTV)

Hidden Abandoned House Full of Old Treasures (frozen in time)
This abandoned time capsule house was a hidden gem. It was like a museum inside. This old house sits on a very large waterfront property. We couldn't find much info on this place and why it was abandoned. My guess is that someone passed away and some things were cleaned out but they never returned to remove anything else in the house. There was people hanging out not far from this house while we were there so this is why we were talking so quietly. Looking at the house Dave and I both agreed this house has been abandoned for over 30 years. Hope you enjoy this video. Please comment and let me know what you think of this abandoned place.

Hidden ABANDONED Farmhouse With Heartbreaking Past
The previous owner lived on this farm by herself. I was told by locals that she did not take care of her property, house and animals. On a few occasions her animals have gotten lose and wondered over to her neighbours property. She had a few complaints from neighbours about this and that the animals look malnourished and unhealthy. Sadly she battled cancer for a few years. In 2018 her animals had gotten out once again. Her neighbours complained. Someone did a welfare check at the house and found the lady had passed away inside the house. Hopefully the animals were rescued and they found new caring homes. Since 2018 this farmhouse has been abandoned and forgotten about.

Once a Dream Mansion - Abandoned 14 Million Dollar Farmhouse Mansion. Explore
This abandoned farmhouse mansion sits on over 40 acres. Such a beautiful spot with half the property forested and also sits right next to a large pond. The previous owners lived in this house since 1997 and they sold the property in 2016 for 14 million dollars for land value. It has been sitting abandoned ever since waiting to be demolished for new homes. Sadly I took to long to explore and film this location as it was vandalized pretty bad. I'm unaware on how old the original house was in the middle. I'm assuming early 1900's and the additions that was built on each side in the 1970's.
