Summary This WW2 military site was built in 1939 and decommissioned in the early 1950's. Located on this site in an Artillery, Battery and Lookout building, Bunkers and three Gun Emplacement Buildings. They were armed with three 6" MK7 breechloading guns on mounts. After this site was decommissioned it was later used by the The Department of National Defence for military training. After they stopped using the site for training they removed the three guns. This military base is no longer in use and has been abandoned for years. It was also considered part of the Second World War Joint United States and Canadian harbour defence of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. There has been talks over the years to sell off the land and demolished all the structures on the property.
