Ludwig Hubachner was skull-smashed Sunday night in his office with an award his locks firm won. He just returned from his Fklorida villa with second wife Lea, having left the management to his son Karl Freidrich and proxy agent Jürgen Wieland, who blame each-other for the dire state of business. That was reported by devoted company secretary Bettina Reimers, who turns out to be Ludwig's lover. The porcelain has its own story. Meanwhile the precinct buzzes about the cabriolets lent to Ortmann by Salzburg car dealership owner Jens Fischer.

The hiker who found Karl Langer skull-smashed in a mountain cabin believes he saw a man rush off. Karl attended the day before the opening of the testament of his stepbrother, who owned their father's traditional costumes workshop, which Karl managed till he was sacked in favor of an employee, who now inherits the firm, the family gets consolation prizes. To chief Achziger's horror, the prime suspects are state attorney Claudia Wölk, in whose hotel room some 100.000 Euro was found, and her husband, senior police detective Anton, both from neighboring district Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Fresh widow Miriam Langer,'s alibi proves leaky, and she cashed nice sums from a joint Langers account, which proves the key after coded black accounting is found. Stockl noses why the Wölks don't share a hotel room.

Stockl and Marie Hofer, who was contacting him for a lecture at the music academy, become formal suspects, having stumbled upon the skull-smashed Haiku-poet Shiki Masaoka in Isolde Daritz's boarding house, where he was giving a literary course. Husband Josef Daritz knew about her affair with the author, who actually seduced several students, including Marion Süßmayr, flirtatious wife of the designated cult minister, and manufacturer's heiress Klara Merz, whose managing brother Ferdinand Merz is her alibi. Sergeant Micki finds out Shiki Masaoka isn't even Japanese, but a suave German swindler who adopted a long-dead poet's identity.

Alpine society president Erhard Graupner is fatally shot during a beer wagon excursion. Hansen and Hartl doubt if he was the intended victim, not the driver or any member sitting besides him, looking into the neighborhood. Soon they also find possible motives for Graupner in business and society context. Meanwhile Patrizia is not enthusiastic about mother Gerlinde Ortmann visiting, so eager to do accounting while Sven entertains her.

Deputy devotional city folklore museum director Oliver Becks is found skull-smashed there, besides a broken showcase from which the Byzantine top-ranking icon was stolen. He suspected housemaster Wilhelm Deisner of stealing Russian orthodox artifacts, at least twice before, several are fond at Beck's home, with his fingerprints clumsily added. Hansen and Hartl also look into director Dr. Elvira Ebert and closely befriended scientist Christian Mendel, who succeeds as deputy, being each-other's nocturnal alibi, him being recently married, yet Roswitha claims not to object to his affair. Mother Gerlinde Ortmann has dates for a romantic dinner for three by the lake with Hansen and a Brahms concert with Achtziger, so she can leave Patrizia with Sven.

Mother Gerlinde Ortmann finds city tourist agency inspector Joachim Wallner fatally skull-smashed in his hotel room. Hansen and Hartl first question hotel staff, mainly owner Amelie Breuer, who feared for her hotel star rating n account of the 'untidy' kitchen, but such applies to more establishments, including the very chef Heinz Widmann's closed restaurant, allegedly having refused to bribe. Junior colleague Hermann Kuhn now gets his post. Gerlinde can't describe the person she saw slip out of Wallner's room and bumped her and her suitcase, presumably his alleged affair Camilla Menzel, who has a remarkable boyfriend.

Eco-obsessed owner Mitterpriller is found skull-smashed in his ailing bio-shop. Hansen and Hartl question his son Quirin, who reluctantly helps as clerk, his musical career ambition being ignored, he's even disinherited, but has a remarkable report with his stepmother, the sole heiress. Chain executive Heinz Klostermeier could finally achieve a take-over under the new management. A secret affair yields other motives.

Stefan Lechner, favorite for the national ice carving competition, is found skull-smashed in his ice sculpturing firm's cold storage by employee Andreas Benthues and PR agent Cosima von Windacker. Hansen and Hartl question firstly competitor Rüdiger Puchstett, who lodges and flirts with juror Marie Hofer, having left the competition after a recent row, but must leave her to re-enter, then find hidden bonds.

Johannes Freisinger is found murdered in his garden, by the birdhouse. The pair of rare bearded vultures he was breeding are gone, so Stadler and Lind presume a robbery. Contractor Peter Koob's trail looks most promising, without alibi. Meanwhile Ortmann must help check the music academy's accounts as well as the victim's.

Team cyclist Toni Horn broke his neck by fatal fall besides a field road, being pushed. Cycling club president Richard Wageneder admits their were rivalry conflicts, mainly with Heinrich Fellner, Horn's business competitor. Stadler and Lind investigate also club physiotherapist Andrea Laimer, who had affairs with Horn and Fellner, and may be involved in doping several club members. Achtziger expects VIP visits to the music academy's latest concert, notably ministry superior Lause-Köning and spouse, but fitting accommodation is rare, as for the musicians.

Banker Waldhier's fatally bullet-pierced corpse is found by publican Joe and his 'golf pupil' coroner Sabine Eckstein on the local club links. Sven and Korbinian's prime suspect is contractor Volker Feisler, who sued him for a 1,5 loss. The detectives also look into the banker's deputy Ludwig, who believed to be his bastard son, the unaffected fresh widow and club staff, who report Waldhier was no gentleman player, while the president was about to have his credit canceled and probably had an affair with the fresh widow, who would go empty in case of divorce. A rare sharpshooter rifle was used. Meanwhile VIPs insist the upcoming golf tournament shouldn't be compromised and Munich budget official Felix Seitz informs about the upcoming quarterly accounts and volunteers to look into the banker's accounting and finds the fraud.

Hansen and Hartl look into stingy club coach and greedy agent Rainer Kosinsky, transfer rival player Ulli Stiegler and adulterous fresh widow Jessica. Chief Achziger dumps art boarding house Daritz's dreary exposition opening on ladies Hofer and Stockl, while Seitz lodges there, long ignoring his room #5 once was a murder site.
