Vernon, who went to Lycée with Barth Meyer, was in town for a lecture in a bookstore and decided to stay the night on the boat. Only witness, a drunken Dutchman declares a motorcycle fled from the crime scene. The police rule out robbery and focus on Vernon's clients. Barth shows up at the Palais de Justice to state that he was with Fabrice that evening and that someone was insistently calling him on his mobile.

Myriam declares he had an argument with Philippe Choppard, history teacher, who despised and humiliated Jérémy in public.
