Superstition, as the term suggests, cannot be proven and that is precisely why it is so fascinating for many people. They react very differently to this Friday the 13th: some are more cautious, some are really unlucky, some see it as a lucky day. Lukas Petersen is one of the latter - until he loses his service weapon after a mission in a diner. When he goes to the toilet, he takes off his gun belt, but is distracted by the collapse of the man in the next cubicle. Lukas Petersen saves the man's life, but in the chaos of the incident his gun disappears. It is not a good day for the man's son either: he has to watch his father almost die. As it turns out, this is not the first trauma for little Elias. In the feverish search for the service weapon, Bente Hinrichs and Lukas Petersen also consider him as a possible thief. Because the 13-year-old has a good reason for wanting to protect his mother by all means possible.

Judith Jensen goes to great lengths to ensure that Lukas Petersen looks smart when chasing crooks: For years, the owner of the "Schneeweißchen" laundry has taken his shirts under her cleaning wing. During a personal exchange, Lukas learns that Mrs. Jensen can hardly keep the laundry running since the new owner of the building drastically increased the rent. Her daughter Frauke supports her as much as she can and also does the cleaning to keep the family business going. The fact that the petty criminal "Keule" likes the attractive Frauke, just like Lukas, is not reprehensible. But the fact that he follows her through the window to the courtyard into the laundry is. When Keule is beaten up by the delivery drivers of a restaurant, it becomes more and more apparent that dirty laundry is being washed here. Because the restaurant owner doesn't just bring his stained tablecloths to "Schneeweißchen".

In the 500th episode of "Grostadtrevier", the past comes to life again - and the present ends. The "Repsold", the ship on which Dirk Matthies left for the big wide world, runs aground in the port of Hamburg. Not with Dirk, but with Merceds de Silantro from Colombia on board. The news of their arrival causes nervousness in the neighborhood: Merceds' father and Karl Dostal, a former neighborhood patron, committed a serious robbery almost 20 years ago, which caused the two families to quarrel. There is still no trace of the loot to this day. Merceds and Karl's son Roman had sworn eternal love to each other back then. After 20 years, they meet again, knowing full well that one of their fathers has cheated on the other. A new neighborhood war breaks out, which the PK 14 team must stop. There is exactly 1 day, 14 hours and 52 minutes left to find out where the loot in the form of gold dust is hidden. Otherwise, the statute of limitations applies and no one can be held accountable. Even though he is far away, it turns out that Dirk Matthies set up the whole story on time... The NDR Vokalensemble makes a guest appearance in the 500th episode to mark the anniversary: to show solidarity with member Roman after his arrest, the ensemble sings the prisoners' chorus from Verdi's opera "Nabucco" in the police station.

The theft of copper is taking on bizarre proportions in Hamburg: S-Bahn traffic is even coming to a standstill because cables are being stolen because of their copper content. At the recycling yard where Knut Bruns works as a security guard, copper stocks from scrap metal are going missing. Knut is suspected of being involved in the scheme because the valuable metal disappears from the yard while he is on duty. What makes the investigations special for Bente Hinrichs and Lukas Petersen is that Knut has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism. When the cleaning lady Ariana is suspected by the officials of being an accomplice in the series of thefts, Knut makes a confession in order to protect her. Because Knut is in love with Ariana. Almost as much as he is in love with container ships, which he knows an above-average amount of. A hobby that unexpectedly helps the PK 14 team in this case.

An idyllic allotment garden, located directly on the water - paradise in the middle of a big city. At least on the outside, because behind the hedges and elderberry trees there is a tension in the association's community: the site is to be built on, Hamburg needs housing. Pensioner Karsten Mohnke is the only one who has received the severance payment, but nobody knows about it. Really nobody? Suddenly Bente Hinrichs and Lukas Petersen find the pensioner with a bleeding head wound that he does not know who inflicted. When the offices and server room of the construction company commissioned are then devastated, the protest seems to take on violent proportions. Nils Sanchez experiences the housing shortage first hand: he needs a new place to live because he has been evicted for personal use, but the situation seems hopeless. Even his colleague Bente does not help as his supposed fiancée. When Nils wants to make a particularly good impression at a viewing in police uniform, a "cop hater" of all people stands in front of him.

The damned thing about scams is that, even though they are well-known and people are warned about them, people keep falling for them. It's the same with the "loverboy" trick: young, attractive men usually fawn over very young women, pretend to be in love with them and make the women submissive in this way. In the end, the women go into prostitution for the loverboys, driven by the hope of a beautiful future together. Jenny, who has just turned 18, also thinks Rico is the love of her life and gives herself up to suitors. She gives herself up for a penthouse apartment that she will never move into with him. Bente Hinrichs sees through Rico's game straight away when she comes across the couple during a raid. But Jenny cannot be made to understand that Rico is lying to her and cheating on her. Shortly afterwards, he wants to disappear to Poland with her. A telephone number that is important to Nils Sanchez has already disappeared. It is that of a student with whom he spent a very fun evening. But when she revealed to him that she worked for an escort service, the investigator stopped laughing and threw the piece of paper with the number away. Until he realized that it was neither fair nor a good idea to not give this nice acquaintance a chance because of her job. But now the little piece of paper is stuck in the depths of the waste paper container.

After a night of drinking in the "Devil's Den", Nils Sanchez really finds himself in hot water: he is said to have gone on a rampage, broken furniture and attacked a woman. The investigator is desperate because he can't remember anything. In order to put the mosaic together, he has to rely on the statements of others. Among them is Dennis, with whom Nils spent the night and who confirms how abusive the policeman became. When a woman with serious injuries then files a complaint for assault in PK 14, the noose tightens around Nils Sanchez. Only his colleague Harry Möller firmly believes in his innocence and does everything he can to prove it. That same evening, a group of Swabian women celebrated a hen party in the club - dressed in provocative versions of police uniforms, of all things. Because the young women skipped out on the bill, they sleep off their intoxication spread out across PK 14. A scene that is just what Ms. Küppers likes. But perhaps the drunks can be a valuable aid in the investigation into Nils Sanchez once they have sobered up.

Something arouses Dietmar Ohlsen's suspicions: the new neighbors have bought the house without viewing it and the husband is out for hours at night. Ohlsen is a policeman, but he is retired. But that doesn't stop him from getting to the bottom of the matter - and doing so meticulously: observation, pursuit, an investigation board with photos and lots of notes in his little book suggest a new life's work. Much to the chagrin of his wife Helga, who had been looking forward to other times. Because of a hit-and-run, Ohlsen himself becomes the target of investigators Harry Mller and Nils Sanchez. The two find out that Ohlsen's suspicions are not unfounded, but that he himself has gone way too far. Ohlsen also realizes this when his Helga is suddenly in mortal danger. Mrs. Køppers also suggests retirement to the guard Helmut Husmann, who is completely taken by surprise by this idea. As is his colleague Daniel Schirmer, who has grown fond of Helmut and is therefore trying to prevent him from leaving. But Helmut discovers unexpected possibilities for a new way of living and is increasingly becoming more comfortable with the idea of retirement.

Weapons were stolen from a German army barracks. When one of the stolen pistols suddenly appears in public, the police are on high alert. Who shot the plainclothes detectives Nils Sanchez and Harry Möller with the weapon? What makes the threat even worse is that the stolen goods also include anti-tank weapons... It's an ice age in PK 14. Especially at Daniel Schirmer's desk, which is apparently sitting in a cold spot and is suffering the most from the energy-saving measures. Even colleague Helmut Husmann's old fan heater, which constantly causes the fuse to blow, doesn't help. Daniel has to dispose of the "infernal machine". But a short time later, the police station is completely in the dark.

They have long been part of the cityscape in metropolises: drivers of food delivery services on their e-bikes. Constantly under time pressure to complete as many trips as possible as quickly as possible. Timo Rinke also speeds through the streets of Hamburg, the encouraging boss of his employer "Jungle" in his ear. Suddenly the door of a parked car opens and Timo crashes into it. He is taken to hospital with injuries. The driver of the car flees. Harry Möller and Nils Sanchez begin the investigation and soon discover that there is much more behind the accident and in the backpacks of the delivery services. The last images on Timo's dashcam reveal that the car door was deliberately opened at the right moment.

On his way to work, Nils Sanchez is stopped by climate activists who block the road. The situation almost escalates when a particularly committed demonstrator tries to spray graffiti on the plainclothes police officer's car. It will not be the last time that the teenager is prepared to cross borders for her commitment. But when in doubt, even over dead bodies? Barge operator Kurt Horten is seriously injured in a physical attack by a masked perpetrator who had just previously smeared a window of the ship with the threat "Die!" Harry Möller and Nils Sanchez discover that the spray can comes from the same production batch as the one that was almost sprayed on Nils' car. The officers from PK 14 do not believe it was a coincidence.

16-year-old Inke Hamann is looking forward to her first date with Finn, whom she met on the Internet. They want to have a picnic in a cosy spot on the Elbe. But things turn out differently: Because Finn can't drive yet, his brother Ben and his nasty friend Robin are with him - in a stolen vehicle. Inke hesitates to get in, but does so anyway, to her downfall. It becomes a "trip to hell" for her, during which she and her brothers gradually realise that Robin will not shy away from rape. At the same time, a little girl is sitting in the police station with her mother, who is reporting the theft of a bicycle trailer. Bente Hinrichs happens to notice that the little girl is making the gesture of an international call for help with one hand. When asked about this, the child explains that a girl made this sign from a car in which she was sitting with three young men. A race against time begins for Bente and her partner Lukas Petersen.
