When Hetty comes over with the first chapters of Nel's novel, Simon takes her upstairs, despite appearing in gossip magazines with Babette. Later he invites Thijs along to one of Babette's society parties. Marjolein admits to Govert that she work for Prinsen, Van Hoek and Waanders. Everybody end up going to De Vlaamse Pot

Nel is going to Dr. Bulders funeral in Lelystad. Simon pretends to have answered the call to return to his old army corps so he can spend some time with Babbette. Govert is about to play a tennis tournament against his ex partners. Thijs has taken a job as an assistant chef but ends up freeing a couple of lobsters. Bob demands to move in back with Wanda.

Thijs is being stalked by Jehova's witness Mieke. Nel is changing all the names of her family members in her novel. She then decides she needs Simon's expertise in getting rid of the Jehova's influence on Thijs.

Simon has left Babbette after catching her with Thom Hoffman. Govert is off on a business trip. Thijsje tries to find Mieke but ends up convinced that he is the new messiah himself.

Nel wants some solitude on the Mokerheide to finish her novel. Alfons has taken over as her publisher now that Leo has given up on her. The helpful Belgian is also assisting Gerard with his inventions in the attic. James Adams has become Nel's chauffeur.

The boys are glad to hear that Gerard and Alfons are leaving, having finished their book of inventions. Rob en Gloria van Zijl have named their first child after Govert. Rob gets a visit from his uncle Paul Mastenbroek who tells him he owns the entire Van der Hoed mansion. Marjolein and Govert are planning to use Robbie's restaurant, Le Castor Aliéne, as their new workplace.

Jacob Raaspit discovers that he isn't at deaths door after all. Nel has fallen in love with Albert van Rossum. Govert meets his father Edu and half brother Lesley. Thijs learns that Wim Kalff is his biological father.
