Michael (25) is in a wheelchair from age 4, due to systemic scerodermia, an immune system disease which causes excessive calcium deposits all over his body, which mainly affects his limbs but also the eye-sight and can end fatally by shutting down vital organs. using a special console, he plays video soccer against Valerio. Ilona (22) was born with spina bifida, an open spine due to pregnancy folium acid deficiency which can result in paralysis, but she's fairly independent after multiple surgery. Valerio joins her as day car volunteer. Valerio wears a restrictive cask suit to join both subjects in wheelchair hockey. After years of friendship since school and engagement, the pair is planning a marriage.

Visually and mildly mentally handicapped Ludo (26) is a rapper but insists on riding a motorbike. Valerio joins him at a music festival, wearing a cap to simulate how poorly he can observe traffic. Free-lance photographer Susanne has a light allergy. Valerio joins her attending a music festival, where she deliberately omits protection.

Lazlo (19) suffers from Groham's rare 'disappearing bones disease'. Yet he musters the courage to lead an almost normal life, despite frequent discomfort. Valerio treats him to a boy's dream, driving some laps at Zandvoort's F1 circuit, with a special, uncomfortable corset. Benthe (24) has Crouzon's congenital syndrome, the growing together of skull sides. She has cowardly avoided almost all social life for nine years, pretending to have no interest, but now seizes an opportunity to hit town with super-hot Valerio.

Valerio visits Brian (22), who suffers since puberty from the uncontrollable, often concurring mental conditions depersonalization and derealisation, meaning he experience himself viz. his surroundings as if unreal, like a movie he's just watching. A brain-scan illustrates episodes when his brain activity shuts down. He's able to sail, not drive. Mirna (31) had to have her right leg amputated from the knee, due to the flesh-eating bacteria Fasciitis Necroticans. Valerio samples her life wearing a similar prosthesis.

Drumming student Joost (19) is born with a harmless but prominent facial 'naevus flammeus' (birthmark), larger then Gorbachev's. Valerio spends a day with him and tries out an artificial, even grosser birthmark. Britt(22) suffers from congenital muscular dystrophy with nerosine deficiency, a rare disease which disables the muscles, some of which wither, with serious consequences including scoliosis (spine shifting), no functional limbs and long reduction to 13%. She's in a wheelchair and lives with her parents. Valerio accompanies her shopping, to the hairdresser and on a spoon-fed dinner with friends.

Jelmer (24) has only 10% eyesight due to congenitally bad retina. He also suffers from psychotic delusions since puberty, which is under control with medication, but he tries to get rid of those because of the side-effects. Valerio joins him shopping for vinyl records. Riana (18), a hairdresser-trainee, has an impulse control disorder, TTM, which makes her pull out and often eat her own hair. Valerio joins her choosing and trying whigs.

Niek (22) has testicular cancer. After timely surgery and 3 months infernal chemotherapy, the brave amateur soccer goalkeeper rehabilitates and resumes his accountancy studies. Valerio joins him on a speedboat and sports training, followed by a mates party. Laura (24) in among the 11% of women affected by lip edema, a congenital, incurable but controllable condition causing fat limbs. Much excess fat is removed surgically by liposuction. Valerio simulates the condition with a fat-suit and joins her in muddy youth camp games.

S11.E9 ∙ Vera & Claudia

Vera (24) has lasting severe burns on all limbs since a hot bath incident at age 1, all toes an four fingers were amputated. Valerio joins her to the pool, her major hobby, and shopping, pushing her wheelchair. Claudia (22) has congenital spasms and psychosis as a result of oxygen-lack during birth affecting her brain. Valerio tastes her paranoia while she talks into a headphone like her imaginary devil, extremely belittling.
