A simple Shoemaker lives in a small provincial town, who mends boots and writes memoirs about his distant childhood, wanting to leave them as a keepsake for his son. On New Year's Eve, he learns about a magical sea. The shoemaker wants to see this amazing place, but the ticket is expensive, and there are not enough shoes that need repair to be enough for the trip.
