Summary MERCY is a series that follows Milly, a Clinical Nurse living in the Pacific Northwest. Milly has a brother JAXON that suffers from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and has been for a while. Before Jaxon's diagnosis Milly made a promise to him, end his life with "dignity". Despite a law making assisted suicide illegal and the constant disapproval of the action from her mother, Milly helps Jaxon die with "dignity" and spares him a life of endless pain. The pilot explores not only the professional repercussions of her brothers death but the emotional burden Milly faces from killing her own brother.
