MERCY is a series that follows Milly, a Clinical Nurse living in the Pacific Northwest. Milly has a brother JAXON that suffers from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and has been for a while. Before Jaxon's diagnosis Milly made a promise to him, end his life with "dignity". Despite a law making assisted suicide illegal and the constant disapproval of the action from her mother, Milly helps Jaxon die with "dignity" and spares him a life of endless pain. The pilot explores not only the professional repercussions of her brothers death but the emotional burden Milly faces from killing her own brother. From her actions she discovers a new purpose, help those who in her eyes are living lives of endless pain by any means necessary.
