With their budget running out they will need income from their new business during the summer season to help complete their project, but the lack of money and a stalled project is putting a strain on their relationship.

Martin works weekdays in Slough and Clare in Devon, so Martin decides to give up his job and move with Clare and son Tom to Bratton Clovelly in Devon to convert a huge 18th century barn which sits in a farm belonging to Clare's parents. Although Martin had originally planned to stop work for six months, after only eight weeks in he has found a new job in nearby Torquay, but Carol has a great team behind her to help drive the project in Martin's absence.

They plan to sell one of the newly converted apartments within seven weeks to offset their huge debt. Andrea will continue to work in London as a set designer leaving Peter on his own in St Ives, but will project delays and overspending on the sale house affect the redevelopment of their B&B, which needs to be ready for the tourist season.

The couple have bought a 100 year old 85 foot water tower hidden in woodlands in rural Norfolk which they plan to convert into a family home. It has no electrics, plumbing or even a staircase, but David plans to install an 85 foot spiral staircase to allow for the installation of new floors all the way up the tower. Eight months into the project and with a huge amount of work needed can David complete the project on budget while still working full time on his refrigeration business.

However with their budget overrunning and their deadline now moving to at least March will they ever manage to complete their dream project.

Glyn hardly sees his family and daughter Lydia, and plans to renovate a large run down farmhouse near Snelston in the heart of Derbyshire. It cost nearly £600.000 and Glyn has a budget of £250,000. They hope to finish the project in six months in time for Christmas but they have no planning permission and the local planning office has a number objections which can only add further delays, costs, and a strain on both Glyn and Jan. Can they manage even though Glyn is still continuing with his gruelling working schedule.
