They have spent £297,000 on 16-acre smallholding with a run-down farmhouse and hope to renovate and extend the property to create their dream home as well as using the land to become self sufficient. The smallholding also includes outbuildings which Hugh and Jude plan to turn into holiday lets to provide an income for their retirement. Can they complete the whole project on a budget of £120,000.

The Kennedy family have decided to leave behind their city lives to renovate and restore a "once in a lifetime" property in Canterbury, Kent. They have bought a 500 year old grade 2 listed building on the banks of a river. A complete overhaul is required and because of its age the building has to undergo an archaeological dig before the builders move in.
