An alien asks Tom to find his spaceship. However, the alien is actually Fritz Fantom in disguise, who, along with Fürst Finster, wants Tom to find Rudi Ratte's new hideout so the two can take control over Rudi's new master plan.
Rudi Ratte wonders why both Dr. Gruselglatz and Fritz Fantom act strangely when he talks to one of them, but then are normal when he tries to show the other one. Meanwhile, Tom has to guard two mysterious shoes.
A young girl called Astrid learns that someone plans to kidnap her uncle, an inventor. A woman thinks her shop is haunted. And detective Linda Logo is attacked by the legendary biting snowman. Tom realizes all cases are connected.
Thomas sees ghosts flying out of every cupboard he opens, but when he tries to prove to Tom that the office is haunted, the ghosts are gone. Meanwhile, Fürst Finster expects a dangerous machine from a headless scientist.
