Ackworth & Chiswick
In Ackworth, West Yorkshire, George meets Pip and husband Neil, who are moving back into a Georgian house, originally two houses knocked together, where she grew up and inherited when her parents died, and which they last decorated in the 1960s. To make it fit for modern life she will need re-do everything she loved and remembered from her childhood. Meanwhile Kim and Jordan have bought a west London Victorian terraced house in Chiswick, along with its dated 80s decor. There are more cork tiles in the house that George reckons he's ever seen, which were all the rage in the 1970s for their insulation properties. In one room, however, George uncovers a beautiful Victorian fireplace hidden behind even more cork tiling. Kim and Jordan have a budget of £15,000 to renovate and create a house fit for modern living.

Yorkshire & Buckinghamshire
George Clarke visits Shev and Lauren who, with their two sons, have purchased a 140 year old Victorian stone farmhouse in Mirfield in Yorkshire which has an horrific 1970s awkward brick extension. The extension is causing problems internally with the original layout, and with interiors that are outdated and in need of renovating, George helps the couple redesign what he has nicknamed their 'Frankenhouse'. In Taplow, Buckinghamshire, George meets Alastair and Anna, the owners of an 18th century gatehouse who need help changing the layout of their two tiny disjointed reception rooms which they want to convert into one large living space. The only problem is that the project is hindered by a huge chimney breast that is dividing the two spaces.

Pocklington & Glossop
George visits two very different properties from the Georgian architectural period. Hugh and Sarah from London have bought a 200 year old townhouse in Pocklington, Yorkshire, untouched for 60 years with original Georgian features such as high ceilings, a grand staircase and a heavy chandelier hanging from the original ceiling. Outside it has an array of outbuildings with massive potential for a new kitchen-diner and day-room. In Glossop in the Peak District Martin and Emma paid £510,000 for a farmhouse which is in desperate need of a transformation due to its horrendous interior, but they have big plans to modernise it for themselves and their two children.
