Stratford-upon-Avon & Hastings
George visits recently separated Rick who bought a slimline 1830s Victorian terrace. It has a basement, ground floor, first floor and a loft, but each floor has only enough space for one room. George needs to make this very tight property fit for purpose for Rick and his visiting children. In Hastings, he visits single mum Donna who lives in a three bedroom terraced house built in 1898. He plans to redesign the property keeping all of the original period features, but ditching an unfashionable 1930s replacement fireplace.

Broadstairs & Woolwich
In Broadstairs George takes on an impressive 1784 Georgian mansion with two personalities, a beautiful historic front but a mess of ugly extensions to the rear. There are too many things wrong with the layout, basically because it was redesigned as a care home for 29 OAPs. Musical family Mark and Natalie and their children need George's help to return the house to its original glory. In Woolwich in south London, a 1930s bungalow with a tiny lounge requires some serious redesigning. The small house has one saving grace which George can use - a huge rear garden.
