Beginning of the travel in Rio de Janeiro.First Philippe see the town from a mountain: the beaches, the bays, the famous Sugarloaf Mountain, the statue of Christ the Redeemer.Philippe has decided to take a suburban train and visit the favela of Rocinha: there he meets Peanut, a man who has helped the people of this favela to get electricity and water in their homes.Back to the suburban train he meets a young man who has been inspired by his meetings in train and has become writer.Then Philippe goes to another favela by cable car: women explain him how their life have changed this this new cable car: they spend less time to go to center of Rio o to come back.In the favela Philippe meets women in a candomblé ceremony: these African-Brazilian women communicate with the spirits of their ancestors.The oldest woman was speaking a language coming from Angola because she was communicating with an ancestor of Angola.Then Philippe starts a new train travel in Curitiba: a train which goes through the Atlantic tropical forest.At Paranaguá Philippe goes with a fisherman, they see dolphins and try to catch fishes.Then comes the train travel from Belo Horizonte to Vitoria: a touristic train who goes through mountains , forests and they also can see a great iron ores mine.Philippe meets a couple who has known themselves in his train and now they invited their children to discover the joy of traveling by train.Philipe goes to Ouro Preto where he sees a great celebration of African-Brazilian for their ancestors: there is a nice church which was constructed by a miner and former slave.

Winter in Norway: Philippe is now in Narvik, north of the polar circle and even more at north than Iceland.The train station of Narvik is the railway station the most at north of all European railways.Philippe begins with a little travel by train from Narvik to Bjorfjell: Philippe is looking at the landscape, fjords, mountains and heaven have very surprising colors.Then Philippe Philippe begins to talk with a young Norvegian woman who explains him that the weather can be very cold in the north of Norway: she lived in her village with temperatures of minus 45 degrees, so the Norvegians are the warmest people in the world, they have to help each other all the time.After this philosophical travel Philippe return to Narvik where he meets a specialist of the aurora borealis (polar lights). The man is analyzing the heaven to know when will come the next aurora borealis. and they see an aurora borealis.Philippe will travel to the Lofoten islands where people swim in the cold water of the sea,he will meet a man making music instruments with ice .Philippe will also speak with the men driving snow plows on the railway tacks and kind passengers in the train from Bergen to Oslo.

Beginning of the journey in Darwin (Northern Territories): Philippe take the "Ghan", a luxury train which crosses Australia from North to south (about 3.000 kilometers, 2 and a half days of travel).In the train an Australian woman explains that Australian people are very friendly, because they have a super country and are happy that people are coming to Australia to visit their country.In the dining car Philippe tastes kangaroo meat.Philippe leaves the train at Ktherine and visit a cattle breeder (1.400 square kilometers) who has problems with crocodiles (there are about 200.000 crocodiles in the Northern Territories).So Crocodile Mike , a licensed crocodile hunter, has come to eliminate the crocodile and Philippe sees how Crocodile Mike catches and kills a crocodile.Philippe takes again the "Ghan" and has the pleasure to see a private wagon ( a family or a group of friends can hire a wagon).At Coober Pedy Philippe meets Ashley and Dennis, two opal seekers and visit the opal mine.Then Philip is in Sydney, a pleasant town and takes a train to the Blue Mountains (pleasant encounters with four sisters who will visit the Three Sisters area.Finally Philippe meets the driver of a road train and travels with him: very pleasant conversation of the driving of great trucks: the driver enjoys really his job of travelling through the country.

Beginning of the journey at the Peak Tram, the funicular railway ( maximum steepness 48 %) to Victoria Peak: nice panorama on the city.Hong Kong ( 7 millions of inhabitants) is a town situated in a bay, an important port of Asia, a commercial and financial center but is also a huge bazaar.Philippe enters into a snake restaurant: the young woman plays with her pet , a python and then prepares for Philippe bile of a cobra and a soup of cobra.Then Philippe takes the Hong Kong underground: all the passengers have a octopus card for paying their travels in the underground and in the tramways (and also for buying mineral water).Philippe has an interesting talk with ladies who like very their underground and their town.Later Philippe goes to the Causeway Bay, the heart of Hong Kong.At the station a woman helps to persons who have some troubles with their neighbors, she transformed the bad persons into good persons.Then Philippe shows us the moving pavements of Hong Kong (you register your Octopus Card and they give a bonus for using this ecological transport).Then Philippe takes the Ding Ding tramway ( 110 years of existence), speaks with a tramway fan and also with the female tram driver (they love this tram which is part of their lives).At Kowloon Philippe visit the Ritz Carlton Hotel (from 102 to 118 floor of the building) and has a talk with a Fenshui master.Later Philippe wants to escape from the great town and goes to the island of Lantau: he has a philosophical talk with a 83 years old fisherman.Return to Hong Kong; Hung Hom station: from there start the trains to Mainland China: the train stops at Lo Wu ,the border.Then Philippe takes another funicular railway to the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery: There is an oven and persons are burning offerings (banknotes) to their ancestors.Philippe visits the Monastery founded Yuet Kai where people can rent a Buddha statue.Last stop: Sai Kun, the Sunday promenade where many owners of dogs meet together with their pets and not far they can practice dog yoga.

Beginning of the journey in Fort Williams: Philipe takes the "Jacobite" , the train of Harry Potter, to Mallaig: on board a lot of fans of Harry Potter,and a great moment: the crossing of the Glenfinnan Viaduct.Then Philippe goes to Dingwall and meets the butcher who prepare haggis, a man with a great sense of humor who doesn't want to tell Philippe his secrets.Philippe tastes the haggis and found it very good.Then Philippe takes the train to Elgin: talk with the passengers about the weather in Scotland.Then Philippe sees the Highland Games: bands with men in kilt, traditional dances, caber toss (a big log), tug o' war, hammer throw.Then Philippe travels from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh and then to the island of Skye.He can see seals and later meets a man doing offering to the fairies (oat and honey).An inner voice has told this man that he is a druid.Philippe speaks with him about the magic of Scotland (the ancestors are present in the nature, the fairies are living with us).Then Philippe is in Edinburgh, and sees how people spit on the pavement or touch the hand of the philosopher Hume, later Philippe visits the grave of John Gray and that one of Boby , the dog who stayed for 14 years living on the grave of his owner after his death.Philippe tastes some beers in a pub (there are about 700 pubs in Edinburgh).Finally Philippe travels to Inverness. he has an interesting talk with Young Scottish men and also with an English lady about the relationships between English people and the Scots : then Philippe goes to the Loch Nessie; there a man with big binoculars is trying to see "Nessie" in the waters of the lake, a man who is living since 24 years at the shore of the lake and also sells souvenirs to the tourists.
