On June 26, 2009, a 10-year-old girl, Lindsay Baum of McCleary, Washington, was walking home from her friend's house at dusk and then mysteriously vanished within a few blocks. Her remains were found in Eastern Washington eight years later. Detectives are still working the unsolved case. 2. During the early hours of September 13, 2015, in Stockton, California, Timothy "Tim" Egkan was discovered dead, lying face-down on the sidewalk with some bruising on his body. He had been walking to his home. He died of a stab wound to his torso that severed his aorta. A botched robbery was ruled out by investigators, because his belongings were confirmed to still be with him. Detectives are still working the unsolved case.
