Ramstein Air Show Disaster
Examines a 1988 air show in (West) Germany when three Italian Air Force planes collided in mid-air during a stunt . They had performed the formation before with no problems. It was held at the USAF Ramstein AFB and was the deadliest air show accident to that point. with 70 deaths and 300+ injuries. Some politicians called for banning all air shows in Germany.

Viareggio Derailment
In 2009 an Italian freight train with 14 tanker cars derailed in the Viareggio station. Two of the tanker cars exploded. The cars carried LPG, Liquified Petroleum Gas. Homes alongside the tracks were destroyed by fire. Over 30 were killed.
