After Mrs. Moroboshi shows her some of photos of a young Ataru, Lum decides that the best way to get him to like her is to travel 10 years into the past and condition him to do so while he's still a child.
Mr. Hanawa is a gentle soul. However, he doesn't seem to be very bright. He just can't seem to get it into his thick head that Lum is an alien from outer space.
Mr. Goblin just wants some peace and quiet (and maybe some company every once in awhile). It's too bad he always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Lum and her friends find him, and he seems to overstay his welcome.

The Moroboshis are preparing their home for a typhoon headed their way, and Lum and Ten can hardly wait, since neither of them was no idea what a typhoon is.
At school, Ataru discovers that Oni become intoxicated by umeboshi (pickled plums), and that both Lum and Ten are the worst kind of drunks: mean drunks! Scores of students end up in the infirmary from Lum's electricity, and Ten's flames.
Late one night atop the roof of the Moroboshi home, Ataru, Ten, and an eyepatch-wearing bruiser of a cat named Torajima fight for the affections of a beautiful cat-woman.
