Memorial Day Ride
Greg explains our trip from Gravelly Point to Ocean City and back. Greg gets terribly motion sick so he is pretty nervous getting out onto the water. Being on the water on Memorial Day is pretty special and the guys knew they couldn't not mention what it means to them to be representing the military on this particular day.

The Art of Greg

Thu, Jun 05, 2014
This is Greg unfiltered. He doesn't realize the camera is still rolling. This is why we love him . . . Erika knows how nervous Greg gets in front of cameras so she oscillates between calming Greg and freaking him out. And because of that, even when she is being nice to him his uber paranoid personality THINKS she is mocking him and he freaks out over that too.

Experiences from Iraq
As we go through team meetings, planning long rides, worrying about safety and gear and planning all the logistical issues; the guys can't stop comparing the feelings and associations between the roles they fall into now as being the same as that from being in combat.

The Might of Mother Nature
The guys talk about the role of fate and chance while speeding 70 miles an hour on the ocean. It is also interesting how similar some of the feelings are to riding through the Iraq desert and not knowing how safe your path is. What's around the next corner is similar to what is directly below the waters surface.

Humvees to Jet Skis
Similarities between prepping the old humvee for a dangerous drive and all the safety and practical issues that go into loading up the truck and skis for a long grueling ride in the ocean. PK always loses his helmet and one of the guys has to carry it around, just like on the jet skis. PK always has a plan and someone, usually Greg, comes up with all the small steps to get the plan completed.

Take Point Now Unscripted
Take Point Now- Unscripted. A few quick moments of what we're doing while the cameras are rolling. Erika always throws weird questions at the guys to get them warmed up to be on camera. Sometimes they get a little goofy. Also, they are ALREADY goofy and can get a bit unruly. They're all nervous in front of the camera and often freak out a little bit.

Don't Be Left Behind
Take Point Now has left a small trail of items behind. A radio (guaranteed to float). A microphone (PK was carrying Greg). Greg's cowboy hat (ask Greg). Another radio (again, supposed to float). Eye gear (most of us have lost them already). And a small lens bag (so many pockets!). Be it river, bay, or ocean, Take Point Now will not be forgotten. But our stuff will be.

Jet Ski Safety Features
PK talks about the basic safety features that everyone should know before getting on a jet ski. We get asked a lot about how safe we are being, especially with all of the combat injures the guys have, and how easy it is for not-boaters to get into jet skiing. Erika and PK decided to quickly go through some of the typical safety features we go over before getting into the water.

Thunder From the Sea- Our Jet Skis
PK tells us about the two current jet skis for Take Point Now. They have different uses and horsepower but are a good compliment for each other and our team. They are very traditional jet skis and are what we need to use in order to quality for Guinness World Records. We cannot make any structural or engine changes to the skis to stay legal.

Pushups for Charity
John and Erika make a stop at Push Ups For Charity. It's a fundraising effort for Boot Campaign which provides services for veterans. John did a great job for 90 seconds and added to their effort. We couldn't be happier getting the chance to support other veterans in their causes. Erika can't do a pushup to save her life and John jumped right in like a Marine. He was a little embarrassed at his low number but he he gave it his all and made us all proud.
