Pirate captain Piet all delighted when the weekly supplies are supplemented with a rare treat: chocolate milk, for breakfast. Berend, Steven and Piet each sneak out at night to have one or more big sips, pretending to sleep-walk when crossing another. By morning, the bottle is empty, their faces betray the truth.

Pirate captain Piet and his crew are out of their depth after finding a basket with a total surprise at high sea: a baby! Tryig their hand at infant care proves quite testing for all. Just when they get attached, Berend discovers in the basket a note from the foundling's mother, requesting to bring him to his grandmother.

Pirate captain Piet's cook Berend is bored, doesn't feel like his regular hobby fishing and decides instead to pull a prank on the crew-mates by dangling sweet lures in front of them. Even accidental victim captain Piet proves a good sport,provided he gets a go too. Steven experiences the prank can be dangerous, when his tooth get caught, but there's a silver lining for him too.

Against pirate captain Piet's expressed ban on animals aboard, cook Berend has adopted a foundling stray kitten from a port. The crew-mates help him covering up, but when the kitten swallows the fish dinner, Piet finds out. Berend must face facts and settle for a consolatory concession.

Steve has a bad toot but is afraid to have it pulled out. Berend insists to do it 'the pirate way', tied with a rope to a door, but as Steven remains afraid, Piet orders a demonstration. That proves painful as the door happens to be opened at the worst moment, yet Berend's pain has a silver lining.

Cook Berend doesn't feel like catching fish for dinner but like pranks, so he uses his rod to dangle food I front of the others and snatch it off just when they grab it. The captain is amused, but insists on 'his turn', leading to a row. During their skirmish, Steven is painfully hit, but that proves a cloud with a silver dentistry lining.

Captain Piet has been tricked on an African market to buy a voodoo doll, but finds it doesn't work on Steven. However, the sailor agrees to help use it as revenge for a prank Berend played on Piet recently and feast on the profits together.

Berend and the crew-mates tease Stien by toying around with the red stone heart she got from her new lover, pirate Sterk, but Syeven accidentally drops in over board. Captain Piet agrees he must dive for it, even if it takes all day. Yet when he finally succeeds, a walk has drastically changed the owner's mood.

Berend astonishes Piet and the crew-mates with his shocking ignorance of nautical terms, so captain Piet orders him to study a thick book. Piet is surprised at night by a masked thief who steals the book, to Berend's relief ending his dreary sailor course, but the intruder's apprehension and identification is followed by an accidentally betrayed, equally shocking plot.

Pirate captain Piet and his mates make fun of Berend, who returns from ashore shopping with food supplies and a 'magic seed', which supposedly grows into a whole vegetable over night. Stubborn Berend falls asleep while watching it not growing at all. Steven pities him and 'plants' a cabbage, so it appears to have grown. He'll regret that mild prank after the gullible cook's next shopping episode.

The crew is fed-up with the cook Berend's eternal lumpy porridge. Piet and the mates try each in turn to do better, but fail miserably, to the vexed cook's growing amusement. Ultimately, they beg him to cook his trusted recipe again.

Piet, Berend and Stien beam after attending a circus on land, which only adds to Steven's gloom, having missed it being punished with chores for kitchen clumsiness. The others try in turn to imitate a circus act, but utterly fail, so Piet must grant Steven a go at the agreed prize, a cake.

Pirate captain Piet's ship anchors in Haaienbaai, a bay name referring to when it was still shark-infested. He and his mates pretend to Berend, who wants to take a swim, it still is, but he bravely persists with a lookout. Steven takes the mean prank further by scaring Berend with a shark-fin on his back. Steven regrets that as the lookout fails to catch on, not to react.

Pirate captain Piet is delighted that the pirate who commands the largest fleet invited him to become captain of his flag ship. The crew mates congratulate him with mixed feelings, as that would leave their tiny ship decapitated, yet Berend even prepares a last meal for Piet's trip to his new crew. Then fate strikes in meteorological shape.

Captain Piet proudly present his latest acquisition, a colorful parrot he bought as a bargain. The mates make fun of the name he gave the bird, Kaka (Dutch infantile term for shit) instead of traditional Coco, and return to work. They are sloppy, so Piet calls each one to order, but each believes he adds the gross phrase "Dumb pirate". Only once the crew protest collectively, the truth becomes clear.

Piet has acquired a skeleton to study anatomy. It inspires Berend to cook his 'cannibal soup'. Steven wants to bounce his ball but keeps being sent away, so he ends up in the hold with the skeleton, which he knocks off and shatters. His attempt to dispose of wrecked bones works out macabre.

A relative left a diamond ring to Stien. It gets lost during dinner, presumably swallowed by sailor Steven, who admired it last, and is now hounded until it 'come out again'. Berend discovers that won't be the case at all.

Piet eagerly practices his new hobby: 'pirate golf', aboard the ship, but refuses to let the shipmates come near his brand new clubs. The rest of the crew protests, in vain, when cook Berend refuses to put meatballs in the daily soup. Steven sneakily tries his hand at Piet's golf, thus accidentally substituting the culinary lack with inedible balls.

Pirate captain Piet takes pity on mute sailor Steven and promises him a devise allowing Steven finally to speak. The machine is however little more then an amplifier for Piet's voice, so the comments given to their crew mates sound suspiciously like the captain's views rather then Steven's own.

Captain Piet assembles the mates to draw the horrible conclusion from years of piracy without finding a single treasure: their Scheve Schuit must convert into a freighter. They gloomily try various cargo, notably livestock such as fowl and goats, but everybody hates the work. Only when even Piet confesses so, they can make up their minds.

Pirate captain Piet and his crew mates meanly make fun of cook Berend for buying a blacks and blues salve in a port, claiming there's no need for that aboard. Vexed, he decides to prove them wrong the hard way. Berend collects his money back by making everyone trip over a banana peel, even after Piet realizes his game. Yet a comeuppance is lurking.

Only mute Steven is shown that Stien hides the purse with all his saved gold coins in a wicker basket. Unsuspecting cook Berend takes it for dumping kitchen garbage. Pirate captain Piet points out when she cries theft that only his crew mates had access aboard at sea, she that only Steven knew, so the sole suspect is tied-up 'till he talks'. Berend eventually learns about the basket and realizes their error.

Steven looks forward to lazily lying in his new hammock. Berend and Stien however insist to 'try it out' and fight for it, Berend even gets injured. Piet steps in and makes them return it to Steven, but not without taken his own turn.

Pirate captain Piet has an appetite for chicken, so cook Berend agrees to go buy and serve some. Piet orders his crew to build a pen for ten birds, which proves hard works and painful for Stven's thumbs, worse he even ends up caught inside as they forgot to design a door. When Berend returns, Piet and his mates find it was all for nothing.

Pirate Piet always maintained not to be superstitious, but when a lucky shamrock seems to work for Steven, Piet still asks a turn to hold it 'just for fun'. Yet it only brings him apparent luck, and the crew mates have an explanation ready.

Pirate captain Piet and his cremates are bothered by buzzing, biting mosquitoes. Cook Berend's milky porridge is no comfort, except for Steven, who isn't bothered by the stingy insects either. Piet discovers the link between both facts and puts it to good use.

The crew is puzzled when cook Berend announces he plans to become an author of pirate stories. Piet and the mates keep checking, only to find he's making no progress, but inspire the cook to write about something he knows and experienced, which he enterprises to exaggerate into fiction.

The crew is delighted when Piet brings the mates a new toy, actually a trampoline, which he calls a jumping contraption. Steven soon proves himself most gifted at jumping on it, even so high that he bumps onto the ship's roof. Piet promises to solve that by carpentry.

The crew reacts jocularly when Piet receives an invitation and a present from another pirate, whom he hates for having beaten him to a treasure, and acts with excessive suspicion. So the mates decide, as a prank, to concoct a scary fake present, which resembles a bomb.
