Who Shot Darrent Williams?
When the Denver Broncos draft Texas high school football star Darrent Williams in 2005, he stays loyal to his hometown and begins his professional football career with the Broncos. On New Year's Eve, December 31, 2006, Williams flies five school friends to Denver, Colorado for a party. Soon after midnight, on January 1, 2007, a vehicle pulled up beside Williams' rented Hummer H2 limousine in downtown Denver. Williams and two other passengers were shot. Williams was killed during this drive-by shooting at approximately 2:10 AM. The two other passengers injured in the shooting were both released from the hospital the day after. Nobody knows who killed Williams, or why.

The Muck Bowl Murder
In September 2008, Norman "Pooh" Griffith, an 18-year-old Pahokee High School football star, was fatally shot at a homecoming dance in Palm Beach County, Belle Glade, Florida, while he was with his best friend Dejay. Norman Griffith was airlifted to the hospital, where he died of his injuries. In the end, Carl Lee Booth Jr., age 17, was arrested in October. He later helped authorities in arresting Willie Felton, age 16, whose firing allegedly killed Pooh. All criminal charged were dropped against Felton, because authorities were unable to provide enough evidence against him. Carl Booth Jr., however, was convicted of 1st degree murder charges and was sentenced to life sentence without the possibility of parole. His sentence was later reduced to 25 years when the Federal government reduced sentences for minors who were sentenced to life in prison.
