Scharfe Bräute, ganze Kerle
In Hengasch, nerves are frayed. When the weather is nice, dozens of motorbikes thunder through the middle of the village every weekend, because anyone who wants to take a joyride into the Eifel on their bike has to go through Hengasch. Half of Hengasch's residents welcome visitors from the city, the other half does not. Because, as is always the case, the innkeepers benefit from this, while the farmers complain about the noise and trampled fields. When lawyer Groll has a fatal accident on his bike right in front of the forester's lodge one Sunday morning, it quickly becomes clear that the accident must have something to do with the tense situation in the village. Sophie enters the macho world of weekend choppers, kicks up a lot of dirt there and also runs into her ex, Andreas Zielonka, and his new girlfriend. Hannes and Danuta have become a secret couple, but Hannes wants to wait until he tells Sophie what's going on. The Schäffers' marital peace seems to have been restored, but Heike is still worried about Dietmar, who is strangely taciturn and irritable. But Heike wouldn't be Heike if she didn't find out the reason for Dietmar's condition: During his regular health check, Dietmar was certified as being 83 years old. That could quickly mean early retirement.

Die Saat des Bösen
Little Timmi is gone and all of Hengasch is helping to search for the baby. His mother Nicole and his father, farmer Ludwig Jaschke, are devastated and cannot explain who could have kidnapped the little one. Ludwig does have various enemies, such as beekeeper Petri, whose bee colonies died because of Jaschke's genetically modified corn. But the deeper Sophie, Dietmar and Bärbel delve into the case, the clearer it becomes that the Jaschkes are keeping a family secret, because Nicole and her brother-in-law have apparently become very close in the past - which also raises the question of who Timmi's biological father is and who might therefore have a reason for a kidnapping. In her private life, Sophie is annoyed by her sulking and lovesick father. She then encourages Hannes to contact Danuta - not entirely without self-interest, because since Danuta left, the place looks as if a bomb had gone off.

Ein krummer Hund
There was a break-in at Arthur Brandt's house, an influential Hengasch resident who, among other things, sponsors the volunteer fire department and who the whole of Hengasch bows down to. He was supposedly surprised and knocked down by the burglar. Sophie doesn't believe him, but suspects insurance fraud and has no problem taking on the influential man. Strangely enough, Bärbel's new flame Michi seems to have an almost exaggerated interest in the case, which does not make him unsuspicious for Sophie - against which Bärbel naturally protests loudly. When the tables suddenly turn and all the evidence points against none other than Dietmar, it is good that Sophie always keeps an overview. At least professionally, because privately she is flirting with Dr. Kauth again. In the end, Bärbel, deeply disappointed with her newly acquired "skills" as a profiler and psychologist, has to take Michi away.
