A young woman, in expensive underwear and with a the face of a clown covering her face, is found shot in her apartment in Montessuy, a neighbourhood in Lyon, but investigation reveals that she worked as a cleaning lady. Everything indicates that she was not who she claimed to be. Cherif and Briard will have to trust each other to find the guilty part.

When everyone is asleep in the nursing home where they reside, four elderly people gather in the room of one of them. The next day, they are found dead after having celebrated a birthday party. The investigation discovers that they were poisoned with wine from a bottle not intended for any of them and that there is a second one in the city that may contain the same poison. Cherif and Briand rush to save another life.

A couple searches a trash can on the street for tickets to a concert they mistakenly threw away, but instead they find the naked corpse of a man. Adeline recognizes him as a famous chef, known for his molecular cuisine and with several Michelin stars. Cherif and Briard find that he was not as loved as the restaurant team claims.

A young woman phones the police but the line cuts off in the middle of the call. Next day her body appears in the river, and investigators know the exact time of the murder, for it has been recorded on the emergency line: 5:24 a.m. Cherif and Briard discover that she had a dating website to pay for her medical studies. Sarah will be the new intern at the Hotel de Police for a week.

A young man playing frisbee in Parc de la Tête d'Or discovers the body of a beautiful teenager under a tree. She was one of the participants in a youth beauty pageant. The investigation brings back bad memories for Capitaine Briand of a previous one in which a rape victim committed suicide.
