A ragtag bunch of children and teenagers must work together, using a squadron of giant robots and a training ship, to travel back to Earth after their colony is wiped out in an alien attack.

In the year 2058, aliens known as 'Astrogaters' attack the human colony at Clayad, the third planet of the Ypserlon system. Among the survivors of the attack are a group of children and teenagers who escape aboard the training ship Janous. After the remaining adults are lost to combat with the Astrogater's mecha, the kids end up relying on the Janous' advanced mecha, the Vifam units, to fight back while making the 43 light years journey back to Earth to be reunited with their parents.—mrmjamma
