In the labyrinth of water that makes up Romania`s Danube Delta lies Europe`s largest wetland, a lost paradise and home to a vast diversity of plants and animals. The most recent arrivals are the horses, that over 20 years ago were released to roam free. Their struggle and difficulties are followed through the eyes of Ivan, a village boy, who has developed a powerful bond with the animals. Ironically, as the horses roam wider in search of food and shelter they are beginning to damage the local protected forests. A controversy has erupted between environmentalists and local authorities who now want the horses to be exterminated.

When thirteen-year old Lauren is kidnapped into a world of prostitution, and when an everyman named Jeremy transforms into a serial-sex buyer, their stories interweave in unforeseen ways as they both search for freedom.

Guatemala. The war ended long ago. Though the people want to forget it, the violence continues, and it has spread throughout the society like cancer. Each day, journalists wait to report on the next murder victim, and a social worker helps the relatives of women who have been killed. The global hunger for cheap resources has been another cause of violence, and a war over bananas has taken on a life of its own. The society suffers from the aftermath of the 36-year civil war. Mass graves are found in the mountains, former rebels mourn their comrades, and a war criminal has nightmares about all the things he has done. Peace continues to elude Guatemala.

Our nuclear legacy began with Uranium. From 'Fat Man' and 'Little Boy' to 'Duck and Cover' we believed it was safe to eat, drink and breathe in the shadow of the Atomic Bomb. The subsequent health and environmental damage will take generations, and in some cases thousands of years to heal. Our ground water, wells, drinking water, air and soil are contaminated with some of the most toxic heavy metals known to man - and yet we still have no firm plan in place for the storage of tons of nuclear materials we produce every year.
