The arrival of autumn sees young swallows, otters and grey seals face the biggest storms and highest tides of the year. Tens of thousands of geese and swans arriving for the winter encounter predatory white-tailed eagles ready to hunt them. And on the Isle of Rum, a stag faces the ultimate challenge in a battle to decide the true Monarch of the Glen.

But the year's drought conditions find Atlantic salmon trapped in the sea pools and unable to move into the river systems.
