Weeping Boy

The film tells about some events of the 1920 Polish-Soviet War as is accepted in Soviet history.

White troops are approaching the locality. A small garrison of Red Army soldiers decides to evacuate civilians and a wounded soldier to a safe place. This responsible business is entrusted to the young Komsomol Efimka. The carts leave the village and drive along forest roads, but they go astray. At night, on halt, Efimka, his mother and Verka talk about the future, about a house of forty floors with a tower, a star and a searchlight - let it shine. .. Efimka decides to get to the Red Army detachment. In the forest, he bumps into whites, kills a white officer in a shootout. And when white people attack the refugees, a red squad appears. He was led by Efimka.

Christmas 1914 in Germany - in a village the whole community is attending the mass, almost everybody has relatives in the trenches, from the Earls down to the farmer. Countess Lo's brother is lieutenant, the son of the widow next door is Seargent in the same company. He writes her, that he's coming home for Christmas with a seargent who saved his live - a Christmas present for the family. Lo also invites the widow for Christmas dinner. Her brother arrives with the seargent, everybody is very happy and soon, Lo falls in love with the seargent, but the trouble is, he's from a lower class and a marriage seems rather impossible, but the war has already changed quite a lot...

During the Japanese occupation of Taiwan, a woman falls in love with a young man, but ends up marrying his traitorous uncle. Meanwhile, Secret Agent 001, keeping his identity unknown, leads the Taiwanese resistance.
