Set in turn of the century Baku at the dawn of the 20th century, a young man wishes to marry. Since he is a rich and successful business man, despite his young age, he feels that he should have his pick of any bride that he fancies, however, Azerbanjani tradition dictates otherwise. He then decides to get stealthy about the matter and disguises himself as a mere cloth peddler. As the peddler, a young woman falls in love with him, but grieves that he father will not marry her to a mere peddler. Young Askar then reveals who his he to her father and asks for he hand in marriage. Seeing that he is indeed a wealthy young man, the father hardly agrees and the two are permitted to marry.

Richard Boyd, a wealthy idler who has inherited the Boyd Shipping Company, decides to prove himself to his fiancée, Pauline. A fleet of ships on which the company has an option is coveted by Oriental merchant-tycoon J. Young. Aided by Andrew Dunn, general manager of the Boyd concern, Young has Boyd and Pauline shanghaied; and Sam, his Negro valet, follows. Following a spectacular shipwreck, the couple are rescued; there is a race between a hydroplane and a motorboat; but after a series of exploits in Young's stronghold, Richard, aided by Sam, gets the ships and the girl.

Teresa, Amanda and Ema meet again after their mother's death at their childhood home, where they accidentally get locked up. This unexpected situation will reveal the family transaction that unites them.

A wife forces her husband to a second marriage as they are not able to have children since years. But things take a turn when she becomes pregnant after he gets married to another woman.
