A retelling of the life of Mozart, set in the punk scene.
One day Chazaj pays a visit to the poor artist Simon and asks him to paint his portrait. Simon agrees but in the end he commits suicide. After Chazaj's death, the picture changes hands and brings misfortune to all who own it.
Set in the 16th century, the film deals with the so-called Confederation of Warsaw of 1573, a groundbreaking document conceived by Polish Protestants to promote religious tolerance, equal rights and protection for various denominations.
Saxony, devastated by the Thirty Years' War, is led by the comedy troupe of the principal Fortunato. The student Vavrinec has fled Bohemia and greatly values the text of Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo and Juliet, which he has acquired on his wanderings around the world.
