The Burden of Love

Set in 1948-1949, PLA capture Nanjing after the breakdown of negotiation between Communist Party and Nationalist Party.

After a fierce battle in the war the soldiers of both sides are tired and thirsty. A stream of water is between them and they all must try to get it and drink.

Gideon was wounded in battle near Jerusalem by an Arab sniper. He was saved by a woman, and then evacuated to recovery in the hospital. After recovering, he decides to return to his kibbutz and his girlfriend, but soon he realizes that he prefers the woman who rescued him.

Bill's past as a sniper in the marines during the Vietnam war comes back to haunt him as he and his wife, Karen, prepare their fortieth wedding anniversary.

Wounded tells the story of former soldier John Woods. When he returns from Afghanistan with horrific injuries he settles into a new life haunted by the accident that caused his injuries. On a chance moment John witnesses a neighbor abusing his young son. Without taking long to make a decision John finds himself on the run with the young lad. With the police and the boys family pursuing them they speed across the country with John trying to find a way out of this mess. The film concludes with a showdown on Clacton Pier and a concluding twist that helps John escape the nightmare.
