A young brat lives in a popular part of Paris with his mother whose companion is a kind athletic black man.

Hot summer day at a quarry pond in the middle of nowhere. Visitors swimming, enjoying the sunshine, locals find shed in the nearby grocery, more like pub. An aging man arrives with the bus, heading to the pub to get some info from locals about a lady who's living there, as she said. Being in touch for years, only in writing, so time to meet up the loved one personally, but seems like non of them knows anyone who lives around and could be the one.

The weary wife of a local politician finally decides to make a change in her life by leaving her husband for a younger man she fell in love with. The movie explores the turmoil that occurs in her family and how her children cope with a situation that obviously affects them.
