Little does Paula suspect that Kurt has had a secret relationship with the young fitness trainer Verena for a long time. The "Zum Schwan" inn, located on a picturesque lake, would be the ideal property for Kurt and Verena to do a profitable business with a hotel chain. But Paula's commitment to help Maggie renovate the inn threatens to thwart Kurt and Verena's plans. When the devious plan threatens to fail, Kurt uses a nasty trick.
