Danny, who is secretly in love with Laura, dreams of hitting it big at the track so he can return home to his small town as a success. Things take a turn for the worse, however, when wealthy horse owner Stanley Shaw proposes to Laura, and Danny knows he can't give her what Shaw will be able to. Complications ensue.
