Corcovada is a 99year woman that lives in a small town, her great granddaughter Carolina comes to her house. Simultaneously elections for presidency are taking place and the preparation for the town's annual party as well.

The Gromov family - grandmother Vera Egorovna, her daughters Ira and Liza and pregnant granddaughter Olya with her henpecked husband Tolik - have lived all their lives in the center of St. Petersburg in a large communal apartment. Finally, they decide to leave and spend their shares of the apartment in their own way. But when collecting documents, it turns out that Dima, Ira's ex-husband and Olya's father, an alcoholic and manipulator who left the family a long time ago, is still registered in the apartment.
