M'liss, a feisty young girl in a mining camp, falls for Charles Gray, the school teacher. Charles is implicated in a murder of which he is innocent, and the two must fight to save him from a lynching.

Milah, a satay seller, while Kadir owns an electrical repair shop. They secretly love each other. However, things changed with the appearance of Fikri, a wealthy resort owner. Fikri tries to seduce Milah, but Milah's feelings for Kadir are still strong. On the other hand, Kadir seemed hopeless. Fikri later offered Milah a bid to sell the satay at his resort. Slowly Kadir resigned and left his business. Milah is sad and realizes she loves Kadir. When Kadir returns home, he and Milah decide to get married while Fikri has to leave.

"Kissing Metal" is the story of Philippe, a down and out European film producer, who lives in a tent in the shadow of his unfinished house in Brentwood. Master Atchoum pushes him into practicing Buddhism and convinces him to buy an expensive metal sculpture of Buddha. Empowered by the support of his new-found "religion," Philippe starts turning things around. Through a series of serendipitous events...and some very unorthodox maneuvering, he becomes a success. But, he soon discovers that all is not what it appears to be...
