Hobson's Choice

A taxi driver in Berlin refuses to give up his horse and switch to motor transport.

Jonah suffers from an anxiety disorder which causes him not to speak. But when his grandfather Chuck shows up at his own funeral reception, things begin to take an interesting turn and Jonah finds himself in a predicament he could have never imagined. His battle between reality and the past sends him on a whirlwind journey to find his purpose.

Anne (Madhavi) works as a typist in Daniel's (Mohanlal) office and he has an eye on her. She is often followed by Tony (Mammootty), a wealthy businessman and he confesses his love for her. Finally Tony marries Anne which irks Daniel. Soon Anne finds out that Tony was actually cheating her as he is a conman. Tony explains to her why he became a conman and his past struggling life. In between Daniel gets killed by Tony as he tries to rape Anne. A Police officer Prem (Captain Raju) is appointed to investigate this case. Meantime Anne understands Tony's good intentions and finally starts supporting her husband in all his activities as a partner.

Chabela Vargas (Sofía Álvarez) is a tomboy rancher, and her father is desperate to marry her to Carlos Millán (René Cardona), a visiting engineer who arrived with the intention to sell new agricultural technologies. However, Lorenzo (Pedro Infante), her companion since childhood, has always been in love with Chabela and, getting notice of her impending marriage, he feels depressed. During the yearly feast, Chabela dresses up like a real lady and becomes the focus of everybody's attention. Eventually, Chabela and Lorenzo fight in barn, but then they kiss, make up, sang together the folk song La Barca de Oro, get married, and a baby daughter is born. As time goes by, Chabela's daughter looks, and acts exactly like her mother used to.

Ananthanpilla, a policeman, is killed by a smuggler. His son and his friend, a crime novelist, enlist Ananthanpilla's estranged brother Achuthanpilla, a thief, to masquerade as the former to nab the killers.
