Episode 1 • Apr 17, 2014

Jumpers. Part 1

A gang of "jumpers" is rampaging in Moscow. They, dressed in white shrouds, jumping on springs, rob passers-by at night. And they do not just rob, but brutally kill their victims. One day they attack the sister of a former Imperial police criminal investigation officer Nikolai Varaksin, who refused to cooperate with the new government. Realizing that his sister is in mortal danger, Varaksin decides to offer his services to the proletarian criminal investigation department to help neutralize the gang. The head of the UGRO Dombergs understands that such a specialist as Varaksin is a storehouse of skills and knowledge, that is so lacking in ideological, but not trained young employees of new-created the criminal investigation department. For insurance, and most importantly - for learning, a Bolshevik sailor Sokolov, sent by mandate, is attach to Varaksin. People who are diametrically opposed, each of whom considers himself better than the other, start working.

Murka. Part 1.

The whole of Moscow is buzzing with rumors: the gang of Saban, who calls himself the "Black Avenger", shot an entire police department and brutally stabbed a Cheka employee who went into the department to conduct an instruction. The People's Commissariat sets a task for Dombergs: Saban and his gang should be destroyed as soon as possible, especially since they continue to kill policemen almost every day. Varaksin, to the joy of Dombergs, decided to continue working in the Moscow Criminal Investigations Department. An experienced professional comes up with a plan to lure Saban and other bandits from Khitrov market. To do this, they decide to send Sokolov to Khitrovka under the guise of an anarchist sailor who joined the St. Petersburg criminals.

Murka. Part 2

Sokolov infiltrate the world of Khitrovka as a visiting thief with a proposal for a major criminal case. He successfully passes the test, and he is introduced to the leaders of the gangs based on Khitrovka. However, Saban is not among them. The entire operation is under threat. Sokolov decides to go to Saban through his new friend Murka.

Elusive, Part 1

The gang of Yashka Koshelkov, known under the nickname "The Purse", attacked the car of Lenin himself. Having dropped the "leader of the world proletariat" out of the car, the bandits went for a drive around Moscow with champagne and girls. Dombergs was tasked with immediately finding and neutralizing the impudent bandits. According to intelligence data, Koshelkov is preparing an attack on one of the capital's restaurants. The militiamen organize an ambush, but Koshelkov manages to escape. At the restaurant, Varaksin meets Tamara, with whom he was once in love. She has recently been working here as a singer. By the way Koshelkov's people act, Varaksin concludes that this is an organized criminal group.

Elusive. Part 2

Varaksin, framed by Tamara, is arrested on charges of treason. The Cheka is interested in the case. Varaksin's apartment is being searched, there are indirect evidence against him. Sokolov is doing his best to help Nikolai, continuing to participate in the capture of the "elusive" Purse. During one of the raids, it is possible to take an associate of Koshelkov, who tells about the upcoming robbery. Sokolov is in a hurry to tell this important information to Varaksin, but he is not allowed in. And then he decides to take a desperate step.

The Devil's Fan. Part 1.

Varaksin and Sokolov arrive at the crime scene: a family with a child has been killed, and their bodies are spread out on the floor in the form of a fan. The only witness who could see the criminals was seriously injured and, with the help of a neighbor of the murdered nurse Lydia Aksenova, was urgently taken to the hospital. When he woke up, he keeps talking about some demons. And the next day, despite the fact that the operation was successful, he inexplicably dies. Meanwhile, militia have information that someone nicknamed Stumpy kills several people, and lays out the victims with a fan. Soon, such a "fan" is found in the hospital where Lidia Aksenova works.

Varaksin manages to protect Lydia from the attacks of Gurtovoi, who suspects her of complicity with Stumpy. Suddenly Varaksin realizes that Stumpy is in love with Lydia, which means that she is in mortal danger. Varaksin manages to save the woman. Lydia sees Varaksin as an outstanding, very reliable and caring man. They begin to get closer. Their relationship does not go unnoticed by Stumpy. He is furious - now Varaksin is a personal enemy for him.

Werewolf. Part 1.

In the vicinity of the town of Arkhipovsk, the head of the local militia disappears under strange circumstances. His assistant, a young militiaman Melnikov, is sure that the chief was killed by a werewolf, the legend of which goes among the locals. However, Sokolov, who was sent from Moscow to investigate this incident, believes that what happened is the work of the Sazon gang, which is operating there. Meanwhile, Varaksin, who remained in Moscow, becomes interested in a strange legend about a werewolf in the Arkhipovsk forests.

Werewolf. Part 2

Varaksin receives a telegram from Arkhipovsk - Sokolov disappeared without a trace. Arriving and examined the place of Sokolov's disappearance, Varaksin realizes that it was staged. And, therefore, Sokolov may still be alive and is being held hostage by Sazon. Varaksin sets a trap for the bandits and together with the militiamen finds the lair of the Sazonites. But neither the leader nor Sokolov is there. Suddenly, all the pieces of the puzzle come together in Varaksin's head.

Maniac. Part 1.

A young woman was stabbed in the heart, and a semblance of a carnival mask is painted on her face in blood. The husband of the victim's, the famous lawyer Frolov, is sure this is the work of the maniac-killer Shishkovsky. Once he defended Shishkovsky in court, but he was sentenced to life imprisonment. During the investigation, Frolov's version is confirmed: the fingerprints found at the crime scene coincide with Shishkovsky, whose case was found in the archive. Varaksin does not exclude the appearance of new victims and turns out to be right: soon another girl was killed in the same horrifying way.

Maniac. Part 2

Obviously, the killer is after the telephone operators. This confirms the version that the offender is not a maniac, and he has a motive. Soon the detectives come to the alleged killer - this is a certain Yegor Klinkin, nicknamed Wedge, a criminal with great experience. Visiting the telephone exchange, Varaksin suggests that one of the girls overheard some of Klin's conversation and began to blackmail him. And Wedge, not knowing who exactly overheard him, decided to kill everyone who was on duty that night. The version is slim, and the police are focusing on finding Wedge. But when his lair is covered, Wedge is found dead.

Black man. Part 1.

An emergency happened in Moscow: one of Dzerzhinsky's closest associates, the squadron commander of the Moscow garrison Dadiani, disappeared without a trace. The case was taken under the special control of the Cheka. To help the police officers, the Chekists send their employee Gurtovoy to the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department. The witness who saw how two men in black leather jackets and caps took Dadiani out of the house, put him in a car and drove away, claims that they were Chekists. MCID people are at an impasse. Soon there is another kidnapping of the prominent Bolshevik Larin. M.O. is the same.

Black man. Part 2

Varaksin is trying to figure out how Sokolov can be connected with the rest of the victims of the kidnappers. And although Peter assures that he has never heard of Larin and Dadiani, Varaksin believes that there is some kind of connection. And Sokolov is clearly holding back something.

Episode 15 • Dec 31, 1969

Marafet. Part 1

Varaksin, during an investigative experiment, disarmed a militiamen and released a dangerous criminal named the Elder and disappears. The militia and the Cheka issue nationwide alert for him. His act shocked those who knew him from his work in the police. Sokolov, who does not believe in Varaksin's treachery, is conducting his own investigation in order to establish what actually happened. Only MCID's boss Dombergs knew what was going on.

Marafet. Part 2

Dombergs reprimands Sokolov and Kolodyazhny for disrupting a secret operation. Due to their initiative, Varaksin is threatened with exposure and inevitable death.
