Gregor Neuss is a journalist who knows what will make a good story. When a man is convicted of a crime he cannot have committed, Gregor starts his own investigation. But as he tries to uncover the truth, he becomes a target himself.

A war widow with a young boy manages a farm with her bossy mother-in-law. When a reporter comes to interview her, the two begin an affair. He turns out to be married and won't leave his wife. Her older brother tries to marry off his children and hang on to/ extend his farm through an advantageous marriage in the face of threatened land confiscation and the desire of his children to get comfortable urban jobs instead of the backbreaking work in the paddy fields under parental control.

With the promise of celebrity clergy and high-profile guests, the megachurch and its congregation are abuzz. The First Lady in her arrogant glory, Shirley Stevens, is ready to assume her position as Queen of the Church she and her husband proudly rule over. The long-time married couple leaves nothing to chance in preparation for what they'd prayed would be the talk of the church circuit coast to coast. Unbeknownst, the devil soon comes lurking, and all hell could break loose. Pastor Stevens contacts his old Theology School buddy, Reverend Kenneth Lightfoot, to deliver the coveted opening sermon of the religious event. It's then when the illicit sinful relationship between the holier than thou First Lady of New Bethel, Shirley Stevens, and Reverend Lightfoot becomes on the verge of getting exposed. Soon, the close-knit congregation will discover if the two church hypocrites are truly SAVED, SANCTIFIED, or FULL OF IT.

Viktor Taus's debut came out of the filmmaker's own experience with drug addiction. The film convincingly retells the story of a Prague Film Academy student (whom Taus himself plays under his own name) who becomes heavily hooked and then attempts to make it back to normal life. Viktor's uncritical adulation of the cult of violent movies forms a significant subplot, though his admiration is gradually destroyed through conflict with the world of actual violence.
