Ben begins by exploring the ancient sea roads of the Inner Hebrides. He visits Iona, the cradle of Christianity after which he named his daughter, and learns how Columba's legacy inspires people today.
On the second leg of his trip, Ben learns how his jumper is inspired by life in the Outer Hebrides. He meets the Singing Crofter, sees Our Lady of the Isles and learns how to keep a secret before camping on Hosta Beach.
On the Shetlands Ben meets a Pagan, a nun living a remote monastic life, and a couple who became Christians when they moved there after living as hippies.
