Ten stories that begin the same way: a couple enters a love-hotel room.

A painting in the possession of an old lady, Phoebe Tuttle, is rumored to be a genuine Rembrandt, and Fred Stevens, ace reporter of the "Dispatch" newspaper, is sent to cover the story. The painting he sees is genuine enough but it has been stolen and a copy substituted by the time Irene Donovan, Fred's beautiful rival at the competing "Courier" newspaper arrives, with a famous art critic. Mush to his surprise and dismay, Fred is imprisoned for the theft...and startling developments follow.

Judy works for a pittance as a char in her aunt's hotel. To add spice to her life she enrolls in a charm course but it's a scam. Soon the swindlers show up and plan to use her to con her aunt out of her money.

Roll Call is a comedy about a little girls whose Lawyer Mom is kidnapped by a recently released, revenge hungry, psychopath that the Mom put in jail twenty years ago, the precocious little girl enlists the help of her Grandfather, a retired policeman, who recruits his retired buddies to help track down the ex-con, and reunite the girl with her Mom.

Burlesque history, which summons various references to cinematographic genres, much in vogue in the 50s and 60s, such as comedy, horror film, police, war film, among others. Two detectives and a special agent try to solve a difficult case, but in the end they are "swallowed" by the intrigue itself.

Minerva Tutuvan, a teacher-turned-detective, is assigned a new case involving blackmail, murder and seduction. Together with her former student, Vasile, she must find the killer before he strikes again.
