The second battle of the sexes begins, as 36 former "Real World" and "Road Rules" cast members arrive in Santa Fe, N.M., and take part in the competition's first contest; two contestants are sent home.
The teams take part in their first mission, the "Dangle Drop," which finds them hanging onto punching bags while dangling over a lake. Later, the teams vote off two contestants.
The teams must melt blocks of ice that hold within them cell phones; the first team to make a call wins; Tonya and Tina have a run-in; and Tonya and Theo heat up.
One member from each team must lie in a coffin slathered with honey; and endure worms and cockroaches being poured onto them. The other team members must scoop the bugs up with their mouths and spit them into a container.
The teams compete in a bike-jumping contest that also features pop-culture trivia. In other events, Tonya has a problem with how the women eliminate contestants.
The teams take part in the "Shredder" contest, which finds the contestants catching food tossed from a shredder in buckets strapped to their heads, and then dumping the contents into a main container.
The teams stand on pedestals for a challenge. The guys try to arrange it so that one of the stronger girls is sent home; and Mark and Eric agree that one of them should go in order for either Dan or Theo to reach the final round.
