The new mining season is full of nasty surprises but an unlikely rescue saves the day. Josh buys a semi-truck. Scrappy can't help buying more scrap than he sells.
Robin is excited about a new jade lens deposit but can't seem to get mining. A frustrated Josh starts his own trucking business. New guy Shane lets no obstacle get in his way. Larry is ordered to clean up a mess outside one of his scrap yards but seems to keep adding to the problem.
The Bunce's main mining truck blows its engine on the muddy road to the mine. Cores from J lens look good and Claudia scrambles to bring in a bigger saw to deal with the potential windfall. Larry's friend Jean finds a woman's work is never done when it comes to helping Larry get his power back on.
Gary and Garon rescue an old army truck for use at the mine but the road up to camp thwarts them at every turn. Claudia tries to bring in new wire saws for a big find. Scrappy Larry buys a slip deck trailer to avoid damaging vehicles but it proves just the opposite.
Miserable weather wears down the crew. Garon and Josh lose control of Six Pack as the muddy road up to the mine turns into a sled run. Robin and Claudia get their first look inside a big new jade lens. Ricky tries to match his dad's haggling skills selling a huge load of auto batteries.
The crew's only excavator catches fire. A missing part delays drilling. Justin flies in with two large wire saws and soon loses his cool trying to set it up. Scrappy Larry becomes the Santa Claus of corn.
Snow comes early and delays mining. The crew tries to power up the wire saw to extract a chunk of the 60 foot lens but hits no end of trouble. Ricky's scrap hauling runs out of gas. Claudia fills in mining when Gary is off sick.
A Malaysian buyer triggers a late season push to extract a big 40 tonne boulder. Larry goes to buy a log loader but spies an antique military truck. Ricky loads his truck Scrappy style. Josh fumes as he butts heads with his dad while trying to pull the first boulder from J Lens.
The crew pulls promising boulders off J lens but runs out of fuel at the mine. A sudden surprise about the road has them plotting a quick exit. Scrappy Larry and Ricky try for a windfall by harvesting catalytic converters from old cars. Broken excavators ruin their best laid schemes.
