Kamelhaar für die Tigerin
The camels in Frankfurt Zoo are supposed to get rid of their winter wool so that they don't sweat so much in the summer. The animals clearly enjoy it when zookeeper Walter Arlt plucks their wool. Mountains of camel hair accumulate. But what should they do with the wool? The zookeeper has an idea: he brings the "fragrant sacks" to the big cats. How will tigress Malea react to the scent? At the Opel Zoo in Kronberg, the incubator is full of eggs. The various birds in the zoo have laid a lot of eggs. To protect them from wild martens, they are cared for and bred in the zoo's breeding station. The first young have now hatched. A lot of work for zookeeper Tine Hofmann, because this is a very special kind of baby care.

Eine Schwenkbrücke für die Brillenbären
The spectacled bear cubs Tupa and Sonco in Frankfurt Zoo have now grown into impressive spectacled bear cubs. Today they are supposed to learn how to get to another part of the enclosure via a movable bridge. But that is easier said than done. Despite attempts by zookeeper Claudia Löschmann to lure them with treats, the bears seem to be of little interest. The loose drainpipe is much more interesting because they can also play with it. White stork chicks have hatched for the first time in Opel Zoo in Kronberg. The three are still completely helpless, so zookeeper Desirée Studt is lovingly looking after the offspring. This is a round-the-clock job for surrogate mother Desirée, because the youngest stork child is not gaining as much weight as hoped.
