Alfred Sole's claustrophobic, subjective camera style borders on the grotesque and some performances veer awfully close to camp, yet this is an extremely well-made and underrated horror film.
While it sports a number of great scenes, Red Heat is still solid mid-tier Schwarzenegger fare: It's not funny enough to be hilarious and rousing, but it's too serious to be seriously fun.
The Night Strangler represents the 'television movie' at its finest. A direct sequel to the already great original, Carl Kolchak is once again on the trail of a maniac killer.
