How Oil is Used: Preview (Off-Highway Edition)
Guy Martin is an experienced mechanic spending many years working with trucks, tractors and a wide variety of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs). In the new 'How Oil is Used' series of videos 'Morris Lubricants' Technology Manager, Adrian Hill takes Guy into a quarry to look at some of the largest vehicles in the Off-Highway industry. As these vehicles work in such extreme environments, Adrian and Guy discuss why it is so important to select the correct quality oils, lubricants, fluids and greases for off-highway vehicles and plant equipment to make sure they stay out in the quarry and not in the workshop. In this new video series, Guy Martin and Adrian discuss the different important elements of the off-highway industry.

Gear & Transmission Oils (Off-Highway Edition)
In this 2nd episode, Guy Martin and 'Morris Lubricants' Technology Manager, Adrian Hill, discuss the various requirements of gear and transmission oils in different brands of off-highway vehicles. They talk about why it is very important for the gear and transmission oil to have the correct extreme pressure (EP) properties as this is where the power is being transferred to do its various jobs of work in the vehicle. Adrian also explains the latest '2-in-1' gear and transmission oil which protect components against high shock loads in limited-slip differentials (LSDs) and ensures positive engagement in wet braking systems.
