A ruthless killer, he admitted to 19 murders and later turned informant for the FBI and helped to bring down Gotti, known as "The Teflon Don" because of his ability to obtain acquittals whenever he was charged with a crime. Gravano was placed in the Witness Protection Program after testifying against Gotti.
