S4.E1 ∙ A Piece of the Action

Malcolm asks Terry to write a report for work over the weekend but, since he has been given the wrong information and cannot do it, Terry helps June do a huge jigsaw puzzle, only to find that the last piece belongs to a different puzzle. After June has crashed into Sir Dennis's car, Terry goes to the boss's office to admit liability but, when Terry drops the single jigsaw piece and Sir Dennis recognizes it as being from a puzzle he was unable to complete, all is forgiven.

S4.E2 ∙ Snookered

Terry buys a half-size snooker table but, realizing that he is a rubbish player, advertises it for sale in the local paper. June, unaware of this, sells it to the dustman but when Terry gets several phone calls through the paper, offering twice what he paid, he feels that it must be an antique and buys it back at a loss - only to find that the paper was erroneously advertising it as a full-size table.

S4.E3 ∙ Camping

After Tarquin and Melinda show their holiday films, Terry and June decide they want to go camping and test it out by pitching a tent in the back garden. Despite interruptions and a weakening on June's part, Terry is determined to see it through, deliberately throwing the back door key down on the lawn in the dark. However this means he has to break into the house to get a light and he is arrested for attempted burglary. On release he finds June has gone to bed.

S4.E4 ∙ The Cowering Inferno

Terry and June attend a firm's conference at a multi-storey hotel, where things do not go smoothly, culminating in Terry having to make a speech in place of the indisposed Malcolm. Whilst Terry is learning it Sir Dennis takes June to the dinner-dance but she returns very late, finding an anxious Terry still awake. In desperation he takes sleeping pills but oversleeps the next morning so that June ends up giving the speech.

S4.E5 ∙ The Auction

The vicar asks the Medfords to donate items for the church jumble sale and to persuade Tarquin, who has sale-room experience, to be its auctioneer. Terry decides that he can do better than Tarquin and tells the vicar that Tarquin is ill, assuming the job himself. However he makes a mess of everything and ends up by accidentally smashing Tarquin's china dog with his gavel.

S4.E6 ∙ Something to Get Alarmed About

After June is awoken by what she thinks is a burglar trying to enter their house one night, the Medfords decide to invest in a burglar alarm. Terry finds the ones on offer are very expensive so he decides to make his own. This uses a recording of a dog barking which is activated when somebody steps on a pressure pad placed under the front door mat. However all it does is to attract all the dogs in the area to the house so Terry has to finally pay for a proper alarm.
