This Video Diary deals with changes in the Desario family. If there's one thing that's constant in family life, it's change. Pina and Joe Desario had a two-year old daughter Emily and a baby on the way. Little Emily faced a revolution in her world. Within the space of a week, she started school for the first time and assumed the new role of big sister. We go along for the ride as the Desario Family adapts to a brave new world.

The term usually refers to a camera installed to observe the caregiver. In this week's video diary, we turn the tables for a rare peek at life from the nanny's point of view. Two years ago, Bless Sarmiento had difficulty finding a job in her field of computer science. She did what many young Filipino women do, and immigrated to Canada to work as a nanny. At first she was shy and homesick, but Bless has grown confident in her challenging role of caring for three girls under three years old.

But at an innovative summer program held in a church basement in a Toronto neighbourhood, the stage is set every day for confidence building.
